Tsk, Tsk

Real life has me a thinkin’ about personal faults. Sometimes they’re so easy to see in other people but we rarely see them in ourselves. So, here’s a list of some of my personal faults.

1. I have a temper. I say things sometimes that I later regret.

2. I’m too sarcastic. Hubby and I have been married for 8 years and sometimes he can’t tell if I’m serious or not. Plus, I use sarcasm all the time.

3. Sometimes I can be too sensitive. Or, at least, I used to be.

4. I like to be irritated. This leads me to read all kinds of editorial pages, comments on blogs, news articles, and blogs that really should not be read. I’d like to think it’s because I like to hear all sides of an issue (and it is, a bit) but mostly I think it’s just me getting a good WTF?!?! in for the day.

5. I’m too idealistic. I need to learn that common sense, logic, self-reflection, and basic kindness are not things that a lot of people have.

6. I’m too shy. I need to make eye-contact with people more.

7. I’m too hard on myself. On the flip-side, I can be too easy on people who might not deserve it—especially my family members.

8. I curse too much, especially when driving.

9. I’m impatient.

10. I sometimes use baby talk to talk to my cat. If that’s not a character flaw, I don’t know what is.

11. I can hold a grudge. I can hold it hard.

These flaws are pretty mundane. How boring. :(
