Sigh.

You know, the oblivious guy is more dangerous than the outright misogynist. These are the guys who are in normal relationships but still think of women as “different” or “special.” These are the guys who think “it’s not so bad” and “why do you have to keep whining about it?”

Make sure you check out the best parts of the article:

Show a guy a woman who knows her way around systems, networks, and connections, and he’ll be dazzled by her smarts – and appreciate her talents.

Because if she can show that she may not know everything, it reinforces something deep inside a man that he’s needed, that he’s trusted, that he can be there to help.

See? This guy probably has no clue that those statements are offensive. He has probably never put any thought into gender stereotypes or underlying thought patterns relating to gender that a sexist culture teaches us. To me, that’s much more dangerous than some guy in stupid sunglasses on the Dr. Phil show—because this type of guy will probably never question any of it.
