Another Pointless List
So why do I keep reading them?
Anyway, here’s a list of the 50 most influential moments in comic book publishing history. At least, from one website’s point of view. Note: if you’re a comic book geek, you won’t be happy.
Comic book geeks can always find something wrong with a comic book list.
Oh, Really?
Are you sure about that? I mean, have you seen Fred Thompson?
Dude is undressing you with his old man eyes.
I’m Late Again
But I just had to share this funny comic strip.
See? Isn’t that funny? She’s old and unattractive—we all know old woman aren’t attractive—and so, she’ll never be raped. Because rape is about sex and horniness, not power! And no older women are ever victims of sexual assault, even though an older woman might be an easier target. No. No, I say! This strip is hilarious—only feminazis would disagree!
Sigh.
I’m Confusing All My Rants!
I know I’ve read this before but I can’t remember if I’ve linked to it here before. Since I’m too lazy to go back and see if I have, I’ll just link to it here. It’s a good little article about feminism in comics. And I’m pretty sure someone told me about it. And of course, I can’t remember who it was.
D’Orazio caused a stir a couple of years ago when she wrote about a meeting where male editors told her, “We need a rape.”
