I Hate You So Much, Stupid World
Listen very carefully—I’ll even use small words so you can get everything. Ready? OK, you’re an idiot.
If all you take away from the feminist movement is that it’s out to make women victims, then you’re an idiot. If you giggle at offensive commercials because you think that “they’re not that big of a deal” then you’re an idiot. If you refuse to recognize the cultural components that go into everyone’s make-up, then you’re an idiot. If you can’t step back and self-reflect, then you’re an idiot. If you refuse to believe that there are bigger things at work than just one woman’s decision, then you’re an idiot.
And don’t come back at me with that stupid “it’s my opinion and I have a right to it” crap. No, no you don’t. This is PC taken to the extreme. You don’t have a right to spew misogynistic statements and act hurt when people call you on them—even if you’re a woman. Opinions can be wrong. All kinds of people hold racist, anti-Semitic, and sexist opinions and those opinions are wrong. That’s why they’re called opinions and not called facts.
If you can’t step back and think, “Hmmm. I wonder why I responded like that. Why do I always identify with the male? Why do I insist that feminism is about making women victims? Why do I refuse (or am I unable) to recognize that there are bigger forces at work here?” then you’re a monkey. And you just keep dancing to the organ grinder’s tune.
I expect these sort of statements from men—they can’t understand what it’s like to grow up female and they are basically defending their turf. But when a woman holds these beliefs—when she identifies so completely with the patriarchy that she can’t even see her own participation in it—it saddens me. And it disgusts me. She should be ashamed of herself.
By the way, if you quote anti-women “feminists” then that means you can’t tell feminists from misogynists. And that means you’re an idiot.
