Stupidity #16

August 6, 2007 at 11:36 pm (Feminism, Rants)

I see a lot of women getting mad when men say they are superior to women. Well girls… if men are not superior why don’t you explain how? The only thing women out shine men in is reproduction related things like nurturing and taking care of kids. Men are responsible for all the technology and infrastructure in this world and we out shine women in logic, math, science, strength, etc etc etc…If you women are correct and I *name deleted to protect the stupid* is incorrect there will be no need for insults or anger.. you can simply state the facts and make me look stupid. Too bad I’m right…

Yeah, ladies. If you get angry at misogynistic comments, it’s just because you’re emotional and are prone to crying. Also, don’t dig deeply into the ideas of power or culture and how both of those elements may cause an apparent differential in female and male accomplishments. You can vote now—what more do you want?

Here’s the facts…
Just ask any married man. (When the wife is NOT around).
You’ll have the truth.

Oh, believe me, you’re showing us quite well what men say to each other about women when women aren’t around.

Women can’t drive

Krypto hates you.

Proof women are all about DRAMA?

You women say you don’t seek drama? Then why is it that whenever one of these ‘nice guys’ posts a nice interesting question they get like 5 responses. But when I come here and run my dirty mouth I get 20 responses? Its because women are 80% emotional and 20% logical. Drama=emotions=reactions. Why do you women lie to yourselves? Just admit you are all emotions and NO logic.

What?!?!

And here we have the most telling statement to ever come from the Gender Discussion area. When discussing rape, this is one fine man’s opinion:

Some evil women deserve it… they rape men emotionally all the time

Round Up

Enjoy! But not too much—you never know who may be listening.

Giggles. Life as we know it is over.

How do you say WTF? in Spanish?

The war has begun.

Isn’t that precious? Personally, I’d have to debate the pros and cons of “accidentally” hitting the cutouts. Children are evil—paper cutouts of children are just cruel. Don’t their dead little eyes stare enough without help from this man?

Misogyny: The World’s Oldest Prejudice

August 6, 2007 at 12:07 pm (Books, Feminism)

This book just gets better and better.

The idea of ‘fall’ had been inherited from the Jewish myth of the expulsion of man from the garden of Eden. To this Fall of Man, Augustine adds another, even more terrible dimension: the Platonic fall. This is a fall from the Pure Form, to Christians, the timeless perfection of union with God, into the mutable world full of life, lust, suffering, and death. It comes about through conception. From that moment we are in a state of sin—Original Sin. As Augustine says, quoting the Psalms, we are ‘conceived in iniquity and in sin’ in our mother’s womb. The instrument of this fall from grace is woman: both in the sense that it was Eve’s disobedience that led to our expulsion from paradise, and in the Platonic sense—she represents the wilfulness of the flesh to reproduce itself.

He goes on to talk about Mary, the mother of Jesus.

. . . while a woman is exulted, like no human being has ever been before, reigning over the very pope, crowned by the king of Heaven, she is not the agent of her own exaltation. And the cause of her elevation to the highest is her very passivity . . .

Indeed, she served as a constant reminder that women were inadequate because of their own, very human nature.

Deification dehumanizes women as much as its polar opposite, demonization. Both deny women their ordinary humanity.
